COURSE OBJECTIVES & CONTENTS
Based on your language level (A1, A2, B1, B2), the ÖIF German courses prepare you for the ÖIF Certificate exam.
The exam preparation courses are conducted by licensed examiners.
According to the new Integration Act (01.10.2017), the ÖIF certificates test language skills as well as knowledge of values and orientation (A1-B1).
They are recognized when applying for a residence permit for the first time (A1), a residence extension to 3 years (A2) or EU permanent residence, or Austrian citizenship (B1).
We teach values and rules that form the basis of daily coexistence in Austria and include such topics as: Diversity and Principles of Living Together, History and Geography, Language and Education, Working World and Economy, Housing and Neighborhood, Health System.
Great emphasis is placed on exam preparation, i.e. students will not only become familiar with the test format, but will also practice the test several times under the watchful eye of the examiner.

Level A1: Fit for Austria + Integration Exam A1
This course is required for beginners with no prior knowledge of German. Course participants will learn familiar and everyday expressions. By the end, learners will understand and use simple phrases aimed at satisfying concrete needs.
Topic selection: First contact, housing, everyday life, orientation in the city, at the doctor, eating and drinking, shopping.
Level A2: ÖIF Test New (2011) + Integration Exam A2
This course is suitable for participants with little previous knowledge. At the end of the course, students will have a repertoire of elementary linguistic tools to deal with everyday situations with predictable content. In addition, they will be able to express their own opinions.
Topic selection: Appearance, personality, school, job, family, nature, travel, celebrations, health.
Level B1: DTÖ (German Test for Austria) + Integration Test B1
This course is for learners who already have a basic knowledge of the German language. By the end of the course, they will be able to express themselves in a linguistically and culturally appropriate way in everyday situations, express their own opinions, give a short presentation, and understand and make comments. In discussions, learners will be able to discuss current topics.
Topic selection: Emigration, professional world, politics and society, culture, sports, media.
Level B2: B2 ÖIF test
The B2 level is for participants who already have a solid knowledge of the German language. At the end of the course, learners can communicate spontaneously and fluently and express themselves clearly and differentiatedly on a wide range of topics. Participants will be able to take part in discussions and weigh up arguments against each other. In addition, active writing is practiced.
Topic selection: Application, communication, consumption, lifestyles, future, feelings, science.
